1. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1.1 This document regulates the terms and conditions of booking and hire of boats of Boat Rental Lanzarote (boatrentallanzarote.com) (hereinafter referred to as the Company).
1.2 Making a booking means that the client fully agrees to these terms and conditions.
1.3 The client must be over 18 years of age. In case of independent management of the vessel he is fully responsible for its safety and security. In case of hiring a vessel with a captain, the client is obliged to follow the rules of behaviour on board established by the captain.
2. BOOKING AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS
2.1 In order to confirm the booking a prepayment of 20 to 50% of the rental price is required, the amount of the prepayment depends on each particular boat, the prepayment amount will be communicated to you by the manager of the company before booking the boat.
2.2 The remaining amount can be paid on board the rented boat directly to the captain (boat owner) on the day of the boat trip.
2.3 In case of bank transfer all commissions are paid by the client.
2.4 If you rent a boat for self-drive the deposit of 1000 euros (to cover possible damages) must be paid before boarding the boat and will be returned after the hire if there is no damage.
2.5 Fuel is not included in the rental price for self-drive boats. The client pays for it separately.
3. CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION OF RESERVATIONS
3.1 Free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before the rental date.
3.2 Cancellations made 6-5 days before the rental date will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
3.3 If cancelled 4-3 days before the rental date, 75% of the booking fee will be deducted.
3.4 If cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the rental date, no refund will be given.
3.5 In case of unfavourable weather conditions (wave height more than 1 metre, strong wind, prolonged downpour) the client can postpone the rental to another date or receive a full refund.
4. RULES OF USE OF THE VESSEL
4.1 The client is obliged to follow the rules of safety and maritime traffic when renting a boat for self-drive.
4.2 It is prohibited:
- Use the boat at night.
- Take on board more passengers than allowed.
- Towing other boats.
- Launching fireworks, balloons from the side of the boat.
In case of damage to the boat, the client is obliged to compensate the deductible (1000 euros).
5. HIRE OF A VESSEL WITH A CAPTAIN
5.1 The client must arrive at the departure point 15 minutes prior to the start of the hire.
5.2 The itinerary and stops are determined by the captain taking into account weather conditions and client preferences.
5.3 If the client does not show up on time, the rental fee will not be refunded.
6. DATA CONFIDENTIALITY
6.1 Boat Rental Lanzarote processes customers’ personal data solely for the purpose of providing services.
6.2 Data will not be passed on to third parties, except as required by law, and may also be passed on to the company’s partners, such as captains and boat owners, solely to ensure the fulfilment of the rental conditions.
6.3 The Customer has the right to request the deletion of his/her data by sending an email to boatrentallanzarote@gmail.com.
